London Psychologist | Expert Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Anxiety, OCD and Depression
Specialist CBT for Anxiety, OCD and Depression with London Psychologist’s experienced therapists
If anxiety, OCD, panic, worry, trauma or depression are stopping you from living the life you want, effective help is available. At London Psychologist, our experienced Clinical Psychologists and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists specialise in evidence-based therapy for anxiety disorders and related difficulties. We provide expert online CBT tailored to your individual needs, helping you make meaningful changes quickly and effectively.
Many members of our team work, or have worked, at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), one of the UK's leading specialist services for anxiety disorders. This means you can access the same evidence-based approaches used within a nationally renowned specialist service, delivered in a warm, collaborative and compassionate way.
Our treatment is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the leading psychological treatment for anxiety disorders. Where appropriate, therapy includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD and one of the most effective psychological treatments available for anxiety problems. The therapy is practical and focused on the present and how to overcome anxiety and mood-related problems.
Whether you are looking for a Clinical Psychologist or Cognitive Behaviour Therapist for stress or low mood,, specialist OCD treatment, or expert CBT for anxiety, our goal is simple: to help you overcome difficulties that have been holding you back and move towards the life you want to live.
We are accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
We are recommended as a psychology provider by some of the leading UK anxiety charities.
Many of us work at, or have previously worked at, a national specialist anxiety clinic (the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma) at the Mausley Hospital in London.
We are committed to effective, evidence-based therapy delivered skilfully and with warmth and compassion.
Therapy sessions do not focus on the past but rather on how to make positive and helpful life changes.
We offer evening, as well as daytime appointments, as well as some Saturday appointments.
We are registered with some medical insurers.
All of our appointments are online only - we do not offer face to face appointments
We also provide training and clinical supervision.

Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Exposure Therapy with London Psychologist
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most extensively researched psychological treatments available, and is recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellent (NICE) as the treatment of choice for most mental health difficulties, including depression, OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety and PTSD. CBT aims to help people understand the patterns of thinking, behaviour and emotional responses that keep difficulties going, and to develop, test and build practical strategies for creating lasting change. For anxiety disorders and OCD, treatment often includes exposure therapy: a highly effective approach that helps people gradually face feared situations, thoughts or sensations in a safe and structured way. Unlike some therapies that focus primarily on developing insight or understanding, CBT and exposure therapy are active, collaborative and goal-oriented, helping people build confidence, overcome avoidance and develop skills that continue to be useful long after therapy has ended. Evidence consistently shows that CBT can lead to significant improvements in symptoms, functioning and quality of life across a wide range of psychological difficulties.
The quality of therapy matters. Research suggests that effective CBT and exposure therapy are most likely to be successful when delivered by clinicians with specialist training, substantial experience and ongoing supervision. At London Psychologist, therapy is delivered by highly experienced clinicians with specialist expertise in anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma and depression. A growing body of research also shows that CBT delivered online can be as effective as face-to-face treatment for many conditions, including depression and anxiety disorders, while offering greater convenience, flexibility and accessibility. Online therapy allows you to access specialist treatment from the comfort of your own home, avoid travel time, fit appointments around work and family commitments, and work with an expert clinician regardless of where you live. For many people, this makes it easier to engage fully in treatment and access the specialist help they need without unnecessary delay.
Dr Blake Stobie and the development of London Psychologist
London Psychologist was founded by Dr Blake Stobie in 2003 as an independent psychology practice. As demand for specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders grew, the practice expanded and was incorporated as a limited company in 2015. Today, London Psychologist brings together a team of highly experienced Clinical Psychologists and CBT therapists committed to delivering effective, compassionate care. The practice is proud of its excellent client feedback and consistently strong outcomes, demonstrated through service user experience measures, clinician-rated outcomes, and the achievement of meaningful behavioural goals that matter to each individual client. Please see our reviews below for a sample of some of the excellent feedback from our clients.
